Getting to Kirksville
Kirksville is located in north Missouri, and can be reached by
air, rail or highway.  The Kirksville Airport accommodates
commercial flights, connecting in St. Louis. Purchase tickets at
www.airchoiceone.com.The Amtrak station is only 12 miles
south of Kirksville in La Plata Missouri. Two passenger trains
(eastbound and westbound Southwest Chief), stop daily to

Century-old courthouse and town square
Kirksville’s downtown square offers 153 businesses including
Downtown Cinema 8, shopping, dining, and museums.  The
Kirksville Arts  Association hosts a free “Summer on the
Square” concert each Friday night on the court house lawn
June- Aug.  Farmers Market offers fresh produce and locally
grown items every Saturday morning May-October.

Great opportunities for fisherman and the hunter are

Golfing
Golfers can hit the links at a semi-private 18-hole course.  The
course includes a driving range, well stocked pro-shop and

Parks
Kirksville contains nine outstanding public park facilities.  
Parks include picnic shelters, adding pools playground
equipment, soft ball fields.  Rotary Park include a disk golf
course, an amphitheater and the Kirksville Aquatic Center
with indoor and outdoor pools.  North Park complex includes
7 ball fields, skate board park and batting cages.

About Kirksville

Kirksville, the county seat of Adair County, is
located in the Chariton Valley Region of
Northeast Missouri, approximately 168 miles
northeast of Kansas City Missouri, 204 miles
northwest of St. Louis, Missouri and 90 miles
north of Columbia Missouri.

including three large state conservation areas:
